UTTERLY UDDERLY

Olsen, E – 2000

Bloom 5.75” (15cm) x 28” (71cm)

Mid-season/Dormant/Tetraploid

A very scarce cultivar with a very unusual name.  It is so named due to the “dangling udder-like tentacles” that it produces in Emily Olsen’s (the hybridiser) garden – but, it does not produce them in the UK.  I would call it a rose-red with very full flowers, deep looping ruffles and white edge.  For me it is taller and blooms mid-late putting on a magnificent late show for a very long time – it always catches my eye.  Very limited.
